Personal experience with unplanned and crisis pregnancies transformed her life and put her on the mission of awareness, education, hope, and LIFE.

At 17, Crystal didn’t know that she was pregnant until she said goodbye.  A senior in high school, honor student, athlete, Miss Congeniality, and youth group leader was stopped in her tracks when while in the shower she realized that she just miscarried. Reality check turned to self denial, rebellion, and drinking just trying to cover the pain.

In 2003, Chris and Crystal were asked a life changing question during an appointment that made them step in and hold on tight to the Lord and trusting his faithfulness.  “Are you willing to abort your baby. We need to do some tests but can’t do them while you are pregnant.” With a quick hard, “No” we walked out of the office and stepped into overcoming obstacles this pregnancy brought and welcomed our baby girl in April 2004.

Our culture so easily disregards life when it doesn’t fit our agenda or timeline. In 2010, Bravery and the heart that all life is valuable brought our son into our lives. While finishing a normal duties at work turned into a nightmare, a new life was created. This brave woman valued life and chose to step in, complete a pregnancy, and choose a family for a child she knew had a purpose and plan.

In October 2020, the unexpected announcement came from my son. “Mom, you are going to be a Grandmother.” The journey walking alongside my child with an unplanned pregnancy was extremely difficult. The day I handed my son, his son was also the day he handed his son to a new family. Our lives were forever changed.

Crystal becomes vulnerable and transparent when she speaks to bring real life situations to light and invite others to step in and make a difference for the lives of the most innocent.  God doesn’t waste our pain, he calls us and equips us to further his kingdom.  His purpose for our life is to live abundant and free, yet sin makes life messy.  Partnering together builds resources, community, and a change.
